We were extremely lucky to be invited to review The 1975's intimate gig at Gorilla, in their hometown of Manchester.
As Matty, Adam, Ross and George emerged from the wings, the room broke out into screams - not cheering - actual shrieking. Launching into The 1975 album opener The City, the singer gave the crowd a knowing smile as they shouted back every lyric he’d written.

The event itself was at a venue unlike any other. Held inside a touring circus tent, Rock ‘n’ Roll Circus combined music with 30 circus-themed entertainers underneath a massive big top.
Noel was on brilliant form and it was definitely a gig highlight for us.

It was an easy yes to 'Easy Life'. I wasn't a huge fan of the band before I was invited to see them play at Newcastle's most iconic music venue but I left as a huge fan.
